In this book classical (bootstrap) and Bayesian approaches to the analysis of contingency tables are studied and compared. Special attention is given to the estimation and testing problems associated with the use of inequality constraints in models for ordinal variables. Furthermore, Bayesian methods are proposed to solve estimation problems associated with presence of parameters on the boundary of the parameters space.

Francisca Galindo Garre (1973) studied Psychology at the University of Murcia in Spain. From 2000 to 2004, she was a PhD student at the Department of Methodology and Statistics at Tilburg University. The present book results from her PhD project.
